Round Rock had their weekly off day yesterday after playing on Independence Day on Monday…The Express have won 5 of their last 6 games after losing 4 of their previous 5…They have cut their GB from 8.0 to 4.5 during this time frame…Round Rock will face Albuquerque tonight at 7:05 p.m.
FRISCO ROUGHRIDERS – W, 10-1 VS SAN ANTONIO
Double-A, Texas League (41-36, T1st, – GB)
Frisco cruised to a 10-1 victory over San Antonio and have now won 5 of their last 6…Frisco gave up their first run of the game in the eighth inning, breaking up a streak of 30 innings of scoreless baseball, a new franchise record starter LHP Cody Bradford walked no batters in his six shutout innings, striking out three batters…2B Justin Foscue (3-5, 3 RBI, R) extended his hitting streak to 6 games…SS Jax Biggers led the offense with a career-high four hits (4-5, 2B, 2 RBI, R)…Frisco will have a scheduled off day today.
HICKORY CRAWDADS – OFF DAY
High-A, South Atlantic League (43-33, 2nd, 4.0 GB)
Hickory also had an off day yesterday after coming off a game 1 loss against Bowling Green…Hickory currently sits 4.0 GB of first place Bowling Green and are currently 4-9 against the leaders of the South Atlantic division this year.
The Crawdads, the Texas Rangers’ High-A affiliate, will look to change the narrative the rest of this series as they take on BG for game 2 of the series tonight at 6:35 p.m.
DOWN EAST WOOD DUCKS – OFF DAY
Low-A, Carolina League (39-37, 4th, 3.0 GB)
Down East had an off day as well on Tuesday after taking game 1 of their series against Fayetteville on July 4th Down East have been hot lately as they have won 9 of their last 13 games…Alejandro Osuna and Jose Rodriguez have been on a tear during this stretch, hitting .342 and .375 respectively…The Wood Ducks will return to action tonight at 6:05 p.m.
ACL RANGERS – W, 7-3 AT ACL DODGERS
Arizona Complex League West (15-7, 1st, 1.5 GA)
The ACL Rangers were victorious over the ACL Dodgers, 7-3 last night…SS Danyer Cueva (2-5) recorded his third straight multi-hit game and is currently on a 7-game hit streak…CF Yeison Morrobel (2-5 , 2 2B, 2 RBI) had a multi-hit game and extended his hit streak to 5 games…The ACL Rangers will have an off day today.
