ROUND ROCK EXPRESS – L, 7-1 AT EL PASO

Triple-A, Pacific Coast League (46-43, 3rd, 6.0 GB)

El Paso clinched the series win on Saturday night with a 7-1 victory over Round Rock…Round Rock starter RHP Tyson Miller was tagged with the loss after allowing three earned runs on three hits and two walks during his 2.2 inning on the bump…1B Andy Ibanez led the Round Rock offense, smashing 2 2B in 4 PA that brought home 2 RBI…CF Steven Duggar made his round rock debut as he batted second ad finished the contest 1-for-4 with one strikeout…Round Rock will look to take game six of the series tonight at 7:05 p.m.

 

FRISCO ROUGHRIDERS – L, 14-2 VS MIDLAND

Double-A, Texas League (45-41, 2nd, 1.0 GB)

Frisco’s bullpen surrendered 10 R-8 ER in their 14-2 loss on Saturday night against Midland…Frisco starter LHP Avery Weems picked up his 5th loss of the season (4.2 IP, 3 H, 4 R-2 ER, BB, 5 SO, 2 HR)…DH Sandro Fabian tallied his second consecutive three-hit game for the RoughRiders, the first time he has accomplished that feat this season (3-4, 2B, RBI)…RF Kellen Strahm extended his active on-base streak to 31 G after going 2-for-4 with a HR…Frisco will look to salvage a series split with a win tonight at 6:05 p.m.

 

HICKORY CRAWDADS – W, 6-5 VS WILMINGTON

High-A, South Atlantic League (46-40, 3rd, 6.0 GB)

Hickory held off Wilmington for a 6-5 victory Saturday night…SS Luisangel Acuna extended his hitting streak to 11 G with a 2-for-3 performance in the leadoff spot…DH Evan Carter hit his 8th home run of the season for the Crawdads (1-3, HR, RBI, 2 R)…LF Trevor Hauver had himself a multi-hit game that included a long ball (2-3, HR, 2 RBI, 2 R)…starter LHP Larson Kindreich (3.0 IP, 7 H, 4 R-ER, 3 BB, 2 SO, 2 HR) earned a no decision.

Hickory, the Texas Rangers’ High-A affiliate, will look to secure a series split as well on Sunday, when they take on Wilmington in game six of the series at 2:00 p.m.

DOWN EAST WOOD DUCKS – W, 5-2 VS COLUMBIA

Low-A, Carolina League (45-40, 3rd, 1.5 GB)

The Wood Ducks secured a series victory over Columbia after winning game five, 5-2, on Saturday night…starter LHP Mitch Bratt took the victory after allowing one earned run on four hits and striking out seven in 5.2 innings pitched on the mound…SS Cam Cauley hit his second home run of the year and led the team in runs scored for the game (3) in a 2-for-4 performance…CF Yosy Galan also homered in the game (2-4, HR, 3 RBI, R)…Down East will
look for their fifth win of the series with a win at noon today.

 

ACL RANGERS – W, 6-4 VS ACL ROYALS

Arizona Complex League West (23-7, 1st, 7.0 GA)
The ACL Rangers continue to keep their win streak alive after a 6-4 victory over the ACL Royals on Saturday afternoon…starter RHP Dane Acker went two solid innings allowing all zeros and striking out three…RF Yeison Morrobel had another multi-hit game, this time belting his first home run of the season (2-4, HR, 2B, RBI, R, BB)…3B Gleider Figuereo led both teams in hits with three (3-4, HR, 2 2B, RBI, 2 R)…The Rangers have an off day on
Sunday.
