8/2 Transactions: Konner Piotto transferred from Round Rock to Hickory. Scott Kapers transferred from Hickory to Frisco. Luisangel Acuna transferred from Hickory to Frisco. Jordan Procyshen placed on Development List (Frisco). Trey Hair released. Antoine Kelly acquired in trade from MIL, assigned to Arizona. Bradford Webb transferred from Down East to Hickory. Dylan MacLean reinstated from 7-Day IL (Down East).

 

ROUND ROCK EXPRESS – L, 4-3 AT SUGARLAND

Triple-A, Pacific Coast League (54-46, 3rd, 6.0 GB)

The Express fell late to Sugarland, 4-3, on Tuesday night…starter LHP Dallas Keuchel made his Express debut and turned in a 4.1-inning performance that included one earned run on three hits, three walks and five strikeouts…CF J.P. Martinez had the lone multi-hit game, finishing 2-for-4 with a BB…Martinez is hitting .357 (10-28)in his first nine games since joining the Express…Round Rock will look to bounce back in game two of the series tonight at 7:05 p.m.

 

FRISCO ROUGHRIDERS – W, 6-2 VS AMARILLO

Double-A, Texas League (52-45, T1st, – GB)

Frisco began their series against Amarillo with a 6-2 victory to extend their win streak to three…3B Brad Miller logged his third rehab appearance with the RoughRiders, going 0-for-4 on the night…SS Luisangel Acuna made his Frisco debut with a 1-for-3 night, including a BB…DH Sandro Fabian (3-4, HR, 3 RBI, 2 R) hammered a 3-R HR in the 2nd inning to give Frisco the early lead…starter RHP Seth Nordlin tossed four scoreless innings in his second consecutive start, he has stretched his run of scoreless outings with Frisco to 14.2 Innings across 5 appearances.

The RoughRiders, the Texas Rangers’ Double-A affiliate, will look to win their fourth straight game tonight at 7:05 p.m.

HICKORY CRAWDADS – L, 6-5 VS ASHEVILLE

Hickory fell to Asheville in extra innings on Tuesday night, by the final score of 6-5…CF Evan Carter tripled in a 1-for-4 night including a RBI and a R…LF Alejandro Osuna doubled and drove in a RBI in a 1-for-5 outing in his second game since joining Hickory…starter RHP Nick Krauth earned a no-decision after tossing 5.0 IP, allowing 2 R-ER on 4 H, 3 BB, and 6 SO…The Crawdads will gear up for game two tonight at 6:00 p.m.

 

DOWN EAST WOOD DUCKS – L, 4-3 VS FREDERICKSBURG

Low-A, Carolina League (47-49, 4th, 8.0 GB)

Down East fell to Fredericksburg, 4-3, last night in game one of the series…LF Yosy Galan (2-4, 2B, 2 RBI, BB) accounted for 2 of the 3 RBIs the team had in the game…SS Maximo Acosta (1-4, R, BB) has hit safely in 7 of his last 8 G …starter LHP Mitch Bratt went 5.0 IP, allowing five hits on two unearned runs, giving up one walk and striking out four batters…Down East will look to turn things around tonight at 6:00 p.m.

 

ACL RANGERS – L, 9-4 VS ACL PADRES

Arizona Complex League West (28-12, 1st, 7.5 GA)

The ACL Rangers suffered an extra-innings loss to the Padres on Tuesday night, after giving up a 5 spot in the top of the 11th inning…3B Josh Jung went 1-for-3 in the game…2B-SS Danyer Cueva went 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored…LF Yeison Morrobel (2-4, 2 2B, RBI) recorded a multi-hit game for the second consecutive night…The Rangers will have an off day today before returning tomorrow night at 8:00 p.m. against the Padres again.
