HOOKS, Texas — The Bowie County Sheriff’s Office says that a suspect involved in a fatal shooting Saturday is still on the run after allegedly stealing a vehicle at gunpoint in Horatio, Arkansas.
According to Sheriff Jeff Neal via the Texarkana Gazette, Hector Alejandro Pintor Aguilar is considered armed and dangerous.
The sheriff’s office says that around 1:30 p.m. Saturday they received calls of a shots fired at a house on County Road 82008 east of the TexAmericas Center entrance off U.S.-82. According to the sheriff’s office, deputies found a man and a woman on the back porch of the residence.
The man died, according to law enforcement, at the hospital. The woman remains is stable condition.
Authorities believe the couple were the suspect’s in-laws, although a motivate has yet to be determined by investigators.
Later the vehicle had been reported wrecked in Sevier County, according to the sheriff’s office. Law enforcement says that Aguilar stole a vehicle at gunpoint to continue his flight.
