ROUND ROCK EXPRESS – L, 10-1 AT SUGAR LAND

Round Rock fell 10-1 to Sugar Land last night…starter RHP Cole Winn (3.1 IP, 4 ER) and RHP Spencer Patton (1.0 IP, 6 R-4 ER) combined to give up 10 R-8 ER in their 4.1 innings of work…Winn struggled to put away batters (8 H), after coming off his best start of the season (5.0 IP, H, 9 K)…C Sam Huff had the team’s only multi-hit game (2-3), his second 2-hit game in a row. The Express will look to finish the series on a high note with a win tonight at 6:05 p.m.
FRISCO ROUGHRIDERS – W, 11-2 VS AMARILLO
Double-A, Texas League (56-45, 1st, 2.0 GA)
The RoughRiders blew out the Sod Poodles 11-2 to capture their 7th win in a row…The ‘Riders smacked three home runs including one from DH Justin Foscue (3-3, HR, 2B, 3 RBI, 2 R, 2 BB), who homered in his third straight game…2B Luisangel Acuna pounded a grand slam for his first career Double-A HR (1-4, HR, 4 RBI, R)…RF Miguel Aparicio followed in Acuna’s footsteps when he smashed his first career Double-A HR an inning later…starter LHP Cody Bradford fanned 6 in 5 IP, giving up 2 ER on 3 H.
Frisco, the Texas Rangers’ Double-A affiliate, will look to extend its season-high win streak to 8 games tonight at 6:05 p.m.
HICKORY CRAWDADS – POSTPONED
High-A, South Atlantic League (53-47, 3rd, 10.0 GB)
Hickory’s game was postponed due to severe weather in the area last night. They will play a doubleheader today with the first game scheduled for 11 a.m. and the second game scheduled to begin 30 minutes after the last out is made. Both games will be seven innings.
DOWN EAST WOOD DUCKS – L, 3-0 VS FREDERICKSBURG
Low-A, Carolina League (49-51, 4th, 7.0 GB)
Down East suffered a 3-0 shutout loss to Fredericksburg yesterday afternoon…SS Maximo Acosta had the team’s only multi-hit game after tallying 2 H in 4 AB…starter RHP Josh Stephan went 6.0 IP allowing a ER on 7 H, while also striking out 7…The Wood Ducks will look to bounce back today at noon.
ACL RANGERS – L, 11-4 AT ACL DODGERS
Arizona Complex League West (29-14, 1st, 7.0 GA)
The ACL Rangers took an 11-4 loss on Saturday…1B Josh Jung homered for the second game in a row and now has three home runs in his first 8 rehab games…LF JoJo Blackmon also homered for the Rangers, blasting his 7th of the season in the 2nd inning (1-4, HR, RBI, R)…starter RHP D.J. McCarty (4.2 IP, 6 H, 7 R-4 ER, BB, 3 SO) took the loss…The ACL Rangers will have an off day on Sunday.
