Hawks prepare for upcoming scrimmage game in Mount Pleasant

Pleasant Grove Hawks Head Coach Josh Gibson spoke to Fox Sports Texarkana about the team’s scrimmage Friday at Mount Pleasant.

Head Coach Gibson told Fox Sports Texarkana’s Bob DelGiorno that fans are welcome to come out and support the team. At 6 o’clock both Junior Varsity teams will play for about 50 minutes, one on offense and the other on defense. After the JV game, fans can expect a 15-minute breather.

Varsity will then run 100 plays

At 7:10 p.m. Varsity is expected to play. Overall the team will make 50 offensive plays and 50 defensive plays, so coaches can review the film and see who and what stands out. Coach Gibson says next week the team plans to play a half, “and it’ll look more like a game.”
