TEXARKANA — Texarkana Arkansas city manager Jay Ellington has appointed asst. chief of police Bobby Jordan as the interim chief of police for the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department.
According to the city, over 30 applicants have applied for the future TAPD chief of police opening, which was vacated earlier this year when Kristi Bennett resigned.
The city says they have started to evaluate applicants and move forward with the process.
The city says they plan to appoint a full-time chief in the next 90 days.
