Round Rock (AAA) dished out a 4-0 blanking to visiting El Paso on Friday night, led by a beauty of an outing by
starter LHP Dallas Keuchel (W, 7.0 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 SO)…the former Cy Young winner has a 1-0 record and 2.31
ERA (6 ER/23.1 IP) through 4 Triple-A starts since signing a minor league deal with the Rangers…C Matt Whatley hit a solo HR in the 2nd, as the Express built an early lead…LF Kole Calhoun doubled and walked, reaching base safely for a 3rd straight rehab game…DH Josh Jung (1-for-4, 2B, RBI) is batting .405 (15-37) with 5 HR, 5 2B, and 17 RBI in 9 G with Round Rock.


Frisco (AA) dropped a 4-2 decision in Corpus Christi last night…’Riders have lost 3 straight, but remain just 1.5 GB
of the division lead…club scored only runs on a 2-run HR by CF Kellen Strahm in the 4th, and was done in by a 4 run 6th from the home team…Strahm’s 7 HR this season are a career high.


Hickory (A+) was a 4-3 winner on Friday night, victorious for a 4th straight game…the ‘Dads were led by RF Angel Aponte, who recorded his 1st career multi-homer and game and tied his career high with 4 RBI…he hit a 3-run homer in the 5th and solo blast in the 8th, the latter of which gave Hickory a 4-2 lead…starter RHP TK Roby (5.0 IP,  4 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 8 SO) and reliever RHP Michael Brewer (W, 2.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 SO) held the visitors scoreless through 7.


Down East (A) rolled to a 14-2 win over Myrtle Beach on Friday night, winning their 3rd straight and moving within 3.5 games of the division lead…DH Daniel Mateo (4-for-5, 3 R) and 1B Abi Ortiz (4-for-5, HR, 3B, 3 RBI, R) notched 4-hit games, with Ortiz finishing a double shy of a cycle…Mateo in his last 3 G has gone 9-for-17 (.643).

The Woodies, the Texas Rangers’ High-A affiliate, racked up 15 hits and scored runs in 7 of their 8 times at bat.

The ACL Rangers (Rk.) lost in walk-off fashion to the ACL Brewers Gold, 4-3, after allowing 3 runs in the 9th inning… club leads their division by 3.0 games with 3 games left in the regular season…1B Josh Hatcher went 3-for-4 with an RBI and R, as the 2022 draft pick has an 8-G hit streak to begin his pro career at .306 (11-36)…SS Danyer Cueva went 2-for-4 with the club’s only XBH (2B), going 9-for-21 (.429) over his last 5 G.
