Round Rock (AAA) fell 9-3 to the El Paso Chihuahuas last night, falling to 75-64 on the year and 3.0 GB of El Paso for 1st place in the Pacific Coast League East Division standings. With 11 games left to play in the regular season, the Express must win the division in order to secure a postseason berth. RHP Cole Winn started for Round Rock last night, suffering his 7th loss of the season (5.1 IP, 10 H, 8 R-6 ER, 2 BB, 6 SO, 2 HR). LF Ezequiel Duran (1-for-3, 2B, RBI, BB) and 1B Blaine Crim (1-for-3, R, BB) were the only batters to reach base via H/BB multiple times for the E Train.
Frisco (AA) clinched the Texas League South Division Second Half Championship with an 11-6 win at Northwest Arkansas last night, securing the team’s 1st postseason berth since 2014. The RoughRiders will face the San Antonio Missions in the Division Championship Series, a 3-game set scheduled to begin on Sept. 20.
Frisco’s (Texas Rangers’ Double-A affiliate) clinching victory was highlighted by multi-hit performances from 2B Justin Foscue (2-for-4, 2B, 4 RBI) and RF Evan Carter (3-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI, BB), who has gone 6-for-13 (.462) w/ 2 2B, 5 RBI, 2 BB, and 2 SB over his first 4 G at Double-A.

Starter RHP Mason Englert (4.2 IP, 3 R-ER) did not factor into the decision of his 3rd career Double-A start.
Hickory (A+) finished the regular season 3rd in the South Atlantic League South Division with a 66-65 record. Ended the season 12.5 GB of 1st-place Bowling Green (78-52) and did not qualify for the SAL Playoffs.
Down East (A) finished the regular season 3rd in the Carolina League North Division with a 65-66 record. Ended the season 10.5 GB of 1st-place Fredericksburg and did not qualify for the CAR Playoffs.
