SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas — The Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks topped the Sulphur Springs Lady Tigers 3 sets to 1 in varsity volleyball Friday.
Pleasant Grove prevailed with the following: 25-22, 25-11, 23-25, 25-14.
Julianne Naples had eight kills. Mackenzie Williams had 14 assists. Riley Williams had 17 digs. Adi Koller had seven kills and 12 digs. Reese Gibbs had 13 points served.
Coach Amy Collvins believed that the varsity squad had one of their better outings of 2022.
“Our blockers had one of their best games this season,” Collvins said. “We pushed through and was able to rebound after set 3. I think set 3 we played too safe at times to let Sulphur Springs set up their offense.”
The Lady Hawks host Liberty-Eylau at Hawk Gym for Senior Night. The match will be heard live on Fox Sports Texarkana 97.1 FM & 1400 AM.
