Pleasant Grove's volleyball team eliminated Lindale in 4A bi-district action Tuesday night at Hallsville.

 

HALLSVILLE, Texas — Pleasant Grove rallied Tuesday night at Hallsville High School to eliminate Lindale from the 4A playoffs.

The Lady Hawks won their bi-district crown in five sets, 16-25, 25-19, 17-25, 25-14, 15-13.

“I love these girls and their faith in each other,” said Pleasant Grove mentor Amy Collvins. “I’m just so proud of the fight and determination they give each and everyday. We played hard, we played with confidence. It is a great win to celebrate tonight, but tomorrow we get ready for Sunnyvale.”

Williams rallies PG past Lindale

Sunnyvale swept past Dallas Roosevelt Tuesday night.

Mackenzie Williams was a key performer for the Hawks against Lindale with 25 digs and 14 assists. Madison Carpenter contributed nine kills and 10 service points.

Adi Koller added nine kills and 17 digs, while sophomore Reese Gibbs was creited with 18 assists.
