
NEW BOSTON, Texas – A Bowie County jury Wednesday returned a sentence of death for convicted murderer Taylor Parker.
Parker’s sentence was delivered by the jury in New Boston after 90 minutes of deliberation.
Prosecutor Kelly Crisp in closing statements brought tears to the eyes of people in the courtroom.
Parker was charged October 9th with murder of a woman and her unborn baby
Parker who is 29-years old was charged with the death of 21-year-old Reagan Hancock and her unborn baby who prosecutes said was cut from Hancock’s uterus. The baby also died.
The trial and sentencing phase lasted 49 days, including 25 days of testimony, 142 witnesses, some twice, and over 100 pieces of evidence.
Parker was sent to death row
John Tidwell the judge sitting on the bench for the sentencing phase ordered Parker be transferred to death row. Parker was sent to the Mountain View Correctional Unit in Gatesville, Tx.
