The short handed Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks dropped 2 games at the Longview Lobo Tournament Monday.
The Winnsboro Lady Raiders, the no. 2 team in the state in 3A downed the Lady Hawks 88-33. Faith Acker whose committed to play at ULM led the Lady Raiders with 22 points.
The Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks were led by Kenasia Henry and Autumn Crouch who each scored 7 points.
PG lost the 2nd game Monday to 5A host Longview
Later in the day, Longview downed the Lady Hawks 51-29.
PG was led by Kenasia Henry who scored 10 points. Autumn Crouch pitched in with seven.
The Lady Hawks played with only 7 players. Two players are out sick and 1 is injured. All 3 are expected back after Thanksgiving.
Lady Hawks head coach Codi Davidson made no excuses
“We didn’t play our best today, but tomorrow is a new day,” Lady Hawks head coach Codi Davidson said. “The girls fought to the buzzer in both games but we just came up short.”
Tuesday the Lady Hawks will play Center at Noon in the Lobo tournament. The game will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Texarkana 97.1 FM and 1400 AM.
