Lady Hawks comeback beat Center

The Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks came back from a 7-point 4th quarter deficit to defeat the Canter Lady Rough Riders 47-44 in their third and final game at the Longview Tournament Tuesday. The Lady Hawks (4-4) finished the tournament with 1 win and two loses.

The Lady Hawks were led by senior Adi Koller who scored 14 points including 2-threes. Koller scored all her points in the second half. Lady Hawk’s sophomore Kenasia Henry scored 12 points and Reese Gibbs another sophomore poured in six.

PG Lady Hawk Coach Codi Davidson said the Lady Hawks could be a force to be reckoned with this year

“We played real well in the first quarter but I think we got comfortable in the second and third quarter and slacked off and our energy levels dropped and theirs picked up and in the 4th quarter we had to turn it around and did better,”Codi Davidson, the Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks head basketball coach said. ” We just need to string together 4 consecutive quarters that are really good we will be a force to be reckoned with this year.”

The Lady Hawks next game is Tuesday at Home vs New Boston, tipoff at 6:30 p.m. The Lady Hawks vs New Boston game will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Texarkana 97.1 FM and 1400 AM.
