NEW DIANA, Texas — Host New Diana was hanging close to Pleasant Grove’s girls early, but it was the Lady Hawks capturing command the rest of the way to beat the Lady Eagles, 48-31.

The Hawks’ defense frustrated New Diana the final three quarters. Kenasia Henry led the Pleasant Grove offense with 10 points. Autumn Crouch and Abby Henard scored eight points each, with Reese Gibbs scoring six. Rashila Williams, Adi Koller and Emma Henard tallied five each.

“The game tonight was high intensity and running the floor,” said coach Cody Davidson. “We had a lot of steals and fastbreak layups, and when those weren’t there we ran our offense pretty sound. Every player contributed offensively tonight.”
