The Bowie County Sheriff’s Office said they’re looking for a suspect wanted for a diesel fuel theft at a New Boston gas station.
Authorities said the theft occurred in the early morning of December 9th at Skaggs Country Store located at 3070 U.S. Highway 82w New Boston, TX. The store was closed at the time of the incident, The Bowie County Sheriffs office said.
Suspect allegedly knew the technical electronics of the fuel system
Investigators believe that the suspect or suspects had technical knowledge of the electronic fuel pumping system and were able to bypass the security measures. Authorities said that over 800 gallons of diesel fuel was stolen.
The BCSO said that the suspect or suspects utilized a newer model Chevrolet truck and a large U-Haul moving van during the alleged theft.
Screenshots of the two suspect vehicles as well as one of the individuals were sent to the media and were included in a news release.
