The Hawley Bearcats avenged last years loss in the state championship game against Shiner by beating perineal 2A powerhouse Refugio 54-28.
The Bearcats scored in every quarter here at AT&T stadium. 7,972 fans watch Hawley amass 456 total yards on offense, 279 passing and 177 rushing.
Bearcats defense played well too
The Bearcats kept the Bobcat defense off balance the entire game.
The 2A division 1 state champions were lead offensively by quarterback Rodney Hooper and hard pounding running of Austin Crumpton who scored four touchdowns.
