
The Fouke Lady Panthers girls varsity basketball team were defeated by McDowell 47-38 in the championship game of the KSA Invitational in Orlando, Fla., Thursday.
The Leading scorers for Fouke were Logan Smith; she scored 7 points and Nailah Zetrenne and Jacie Bishop who each scored six.
The Lady Panthers at one point trailed by 18 points but they outscored McDowell 22-16 in the second half. However, their comeback attempt came up a little short.

Fouke finished Runner-up in the KSA tournament where they played in the Red Bracket which was filled 5A & 6A schools. Fouke was the smallest school in the field of play.
“We needed to see this competition this week, everyone we faced in Florida is preparing us for region and state tournament competition,” Fouke Lady Panthers head coach Mo Williams said. “We got better this week and that’s what we came down here to do.”
Fouke (15-2) will play in the Ouachita Classic next. The Ouachita Classic will be played after Christmas. It will showcase some of the best teams in 2A & 3A including the defending 3A State Champions Bergman.
