The Prairiland Patriots traveled to Pleasant Grove Tuesday and left with a thrilling 51-48 win over the Pleasant Grove Hawks in boys varsity basketball.
Prairiland (19-2) was led by senior Jameson Flatt who scored 20 points including 2 threes. Junior Da Da Coulter pitched in the 19 points.
The Hawk’s (7-13) leading scorer was senior Drew Glover who scored 15 points including 4-threes. Senior Ben Bricker scored 12 points for the Hawks and junior Torion Phillips poured in ten. Justin Casteel scored 6 for PG and Keighston King scored five.
“I thought our kids gave us a chance to win this evening but unfortunately it didn’t happen,” Pleasant Grove Hawks Craig Collvins said. “Nevertheless, I thought our kids competed tonight and if we catch a break or not make some of the mistakes during the first half we could’ve put a W in the win column.”
