Lady Leopards Lady Hawks
The Athleticism of the Liberty Eylau Lady Leopards was just to much for the Lady Hawks tonight as the Hawks go down 56-35 at the Radar Dome.

  Mya Hurd had a big night for the Leopards putting up a game high 19 points.  The Lady Hawks trailed for much of the game tonight but did make it a lot closer in the 3rd qtr when they went on a 8-0 run to pull within 7 but than after a few to many offensive rebounds and put-backs,  Liberty Eylau would pull away for good.

On a positive note for PG,  after missing a couple late free throws vs Sulphur Springs Kenasia Henry rebounded going 7-10 from the charity stripe.  With the Loss PG Lady Hawks fall to 0-2 in District while LE moves to 1-1.

Autumn Crouch led the Lady Hawks in scoring

Leading the way for the Hawks tonight was Autumn Crouch with 11 points and Kenasia Henry with 9.
“Free throws and rebounding are the two biggest factors that cost us the game tonight,” Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks head coach Codi Davidson said. “We let LE get too many second chance shots and they started making them. My girls did a good job of being a aggressive on offense. We drove in and took contact and we got to the free throw line, we just could t make them. We will learn from our mistakes, improve on them and we will be ready to take on LE again in a couple of weeks.”

The PG JV Lady Hawks squad won the game earlier in the evening by the score of 48-14 improving their district record to 2-0 over Liberty Eylau’s JV team.  Leading the way in that one was Hailey Allen with 10 points, Whitney Thorton and Joli Moscow both with 8 points
