Texas High’s Tiger Sharks swept the competition at Saturday’s District 15-5A Dive and Swim meet. The Meet was held at the Texas High Aquatic Center in Texarkana, Tx.
Tiger Shark Cade “the Wave” Cunningham took first place in boys diving. Fellow Tiger Shark Christian Bustamonte finished second. Mount Pleasant Diver Camdon Johnson from Mount Pleasant finished third.
All 3 divers will now compete at the regional.
The Texas High Tiger Sharks boys and girls swim teams both won the district championship.
Texas High’s Cunningham was named 2023 district 15-5A Diver of the year.
Texas High’s Helen Chen was named district 15-5A girls Swimmer of the year.
Texas High’s Eli Likins was named district 15-5A boy’s Swimmer of the year.
Texas High Tiger Shark head coach Eric Vogan said the Tiger Sharks swam fairly well.
“We did not rest at all for this meet so I feel we are going to be alto faster in two weeks at our regional meet,” Coach Vogan said.”
Coach Vogan said that Texas High continues the tradition of wining both boys and girls district meets.
Texas High has never lost a district swim meet in the schools history.
