The Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks basketball team were defeated by the Sulphur Springs Lady Wildcats 70-41 Tuesday night in Sulphur Springs.
The Lady Hawks (0-6, district) were led by Kenasia Henry who poured in 14 points. Autumn Crouch scored 8 points and Reese Gibbs and Abby Henard each scored four points.
The Lady Hawks never could get their footing
“Sulphur springs had a lot of energy right out of the gate and we just never could get our footing,” Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks head coach Codi Davidson said. “We started forcing some turnovers and make some shots in the second half but it was just too late.”
Coach Davidson said her Hawks will learn
“We learn from it, and now get ready for LE on Friday at home,” Coach Davidson said.
The Lady Hawks home game versus Liberty-Eylau will be broadcasted live on Fox Sports Texarkana 97.1 FM and 1400 AM.
