Nicknamed the frozen ball tournament it definitely lived up to its name today (Wednesday). The Pleasant Grove Hawks JV tennis team embraced the cold playing against some top level teams at the tournament in Hallsville, and they’re coming home with 4 medals.
Teams competing included Hallsville, Tyler Legacy, Longview, Lindale, Spring Hill, Pine Tree, Palestine, Kilgore, PG and Whitehouse.
“Weather conditions are always a factor and it will separate quick who’s mentally tough or not. Proud of how our hawks endured the cold and competed today,” Erik Pickett, Plesant Grove Hawks tennis coach said about his junior team.
