PARIS, Texas — The Paris Lady Wildcats topped the Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks 46-34 Friday night.
Madison Carpenter provided the Lady Hawks with 12 points. Kenasia Henry had eight for Pleasant Grove. Emma Hennard hit two 3 pointers for the Lady Hawks.
“We played hard, like we always do,” Pleasant Grove coach Codi Davidson said. “We were slow to get started in the first quarter and paris came out hot in the first quarter. We fought to get back in the game and we kept it close the entire time and just came up a short.”
Paris dominated from the start as the Lady Wildcats generated a 21-2 first quarter lead.
Keshanti Gordon led the way for Paris with 15 points with six of those points coming from two 3 pointers. Asia Johnson had 14, and Sissy Williams had seven points.
“Now we have Pittsburg on the road on Tuesday for our last game of the season,” Davidson said.
