TEXARKANA — The Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks defended their pitch in their Saturday tilt with the North Lamar Pantherettes as the home side prevailed 3-1.
Rylie Williams had an assist to Emma Boehmke. Catherine Joyce scored a goal. Addison Gildon had an assist to Lexi Allen.
Pleasant Grove coach Andy Allen was pleased with the way his team responded after being fatigued from the night prior.
“I thought the girls were a little tired from getting in late the night before,” Allen said. “We dominated possession and shots on goal winning 3 to 1.”
Allen was also complimentary of the Pantherettes’ goalie, who made the Lady Hawks endeavor for their three well-earned goals.
“We have to tip our hat to North Lamar goalie who played outstanding,” said Allen.
