The Pg Lady Hawks got a well deserved victory after coming out hot in the second half to take their first lead 41-40 and would never look back on their way to a 61-57 victory.
Ice in the veins of Senior Emma Henard and Kenasia Henry who both sunk late free throws to put the game away. Leading the way tonight was Senior Autumn Crouch who had 15 points, Senior Emma Henard with 3-3 pointer and 5-5 from the free throw line and tonight’s Game MVP. Madison Carpenter with 13 points and Kenasia Henry with 9 points.
Lady Hawks head coach Codi Davidson said it was a team win
“For our last game of the season we came out with a win, it was a definitely a team effort,” Codi Davidson, Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks head girls basketball coach said. ” We play great defense, we rebounded well, we shared the ball and played good basketball tonight.”
Coach Davidson said the PG girls had big energy
“From the start and we didn’t let up the entire game,” Coach Davidson said. ” Madison (Carpenter) had a big game, Autumn (Crouch) did a great job driving in, and Emma was a big time player on the boards, I couldn’t be more proud of my team.”
In Earlier action it was the PG Lady Hawks JV coached by Carley Barrett who won as well by the score of 25-22 Moving their final district record to 8-1. Leading scorer was Julie Moscoe with 8 points, and Hailey Allen as game MVP.
