Lady Hawks head Coach Becca Collom said it was 2 good wins
“Two good wins. We had to show patience in the first game obviously, passing the bat and took advantage of some,” Becca Collom, Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks head coach said. “In the second game we put ourselves in a hard spot because of some defensive miscues, but I’m very proud of how clutch we were top to bottom of our lineup mounting a comeback.”
Coach Collom said both pitchers for PG (Sarah Hackleman and Abby Runion) got good work in settling in and finished strong.
“We have some things we need to adjust and tighten up but it’s always a great thing when you find ways to win early,” Collom siad.
The Lady Hawks (3-0) will play 2 games Saturday at the Carthage tournament. The Lady Hawks will play West Rusk at 1:30 p.m. and Harmony at 4:30 p.m.
