Hawks turned the table on North Lamar
“It was a great turn around from the results at North Lamar last year,” Pleasant Grove boys soccer coach Christa Henry said. “The boys allowed their play to build through out the game, and finished with a strong team performance in the second half.”
The Hawks back line deserves a lot of the credit for the team’s success this season. The Hawks back line consists of Captain Bennett Solomon, Caleb Jones, Captain Peyton LeGrand, Jake Welch, and keepers Carter Beck and Buma Fomuso. They all have done a great job for the Hawks keeping opponents at bay.
“We could not have had the success without their diligence in defending,” Coach Henry said.”
The win over North Lamar started the second round of district for the Hawks who are 5-2 in district going into the next game Tuesday against Sulphur Springs in Sulphur Springs.
