
The Arkansas High Razorbacks boys varsity baseball team defeated Lakeside 3-2 in Hot Springs, Ark., Tuesday in their first district game of the year.
Ty Waid homered and pitched 6 1/3 innings striking out 13 for the Hogs. Trey White closed the game earning the save. Nate Wall was 2-for-3 for Arkansas High.
Hogs lead off hitter Luke Paxton led off the game with a triple setting the tone.
Arkansas High’s head coach said his catcher also played great
“Scott Trumble (Arkansas High Cather) did a tremendous job behind he plate,” Arkansas High head baseball coach Trent Wilson said.
Arkansas High will host Lakeside Friday at Arkansas High Razorbacks Field in Texarkana, Arkansas.
