The Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks won both of their games at the Marshall softball tournament Saturday.
Presley Humphrey hit her 4th home run of the season and Adi Koller tripled in the Lady Hawks 5-0 shutout over the Atlanta Lady Rabbits in the first game.
In the second game Adi Koller tripled again and the Lady Hawks annihilated Central Heights 14-2.
Lady Hawk pitchers Sarah Hackleman and Abby Runion pitched well in the PG wins.
“Both Sarah and Abby got good work in today and are getting better with each outing,” Becca Collom, Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks head softball coach said.
“I was glad to see the bats come alive today, Becca Collom said. “I thought we adjusted to the slower pitching well and it gave us an opportunity to work on our patience. Really a team effort today and hopefully we can carry that into tomorrow.”
The Lady Hawks will play 2 games Saturday at the Marshall Tournament, one at 1:30 p.m. and another at 4:30 p.m.
