“I thought are starting pitcher Jarret Halter did a real good job and our freshman Walker Wright kept us right in it, Riley Fincher Pleasant Grove Hawks head baseball coach said. “At the end we had a chance to win it, with our 4 hitter Cade Martin. He hit one of the hardest line drives of the tournament right at somebody and that’s baseball. The good thing is we get a chance to play a couple more games today and we expect to get after it.”
The Hawks will play 6A Naamen Forest at 4:15 p.m. and Hallsville at 6:15 p.m. Friday. All the Pleasant Grove baseball games at the Hallsville tournament are aired live on 94.1 FM ESPN Texarkana. 2t
