PG boys soccer
The Pleasant Grove Hawks boys soccer team defeated state ranked Chapel Hill 2-1 Friday. It was the first ever boys soccer playoff win in PG history.

The Hawks make history. It was an absolute nail biter.
Hayes Lawrence had a phenomenal solo goal in the first half for PG. Chapel Hill came back equalizing late in the second half, and after 100 hard fought minutes it was a draw taking it to PKs.

Hawks burred their penalty kicks

Hayes Lawrence, James Solomon, William Otero, and Cade Weinheimer all sequentially buried their Penalty shootout kick attempts. Hawk goal keeper Buma Fomuso made a huge save and the Hawk boys secured their Bi-District Championship!

Coach Henry said her team worked hard

“They have worked so hard to leave their mark on this program, and I hope every future Hawk can see what true discipline, work ethic, and character can bring you! Go Hawks.”
