The Pleasant Grove Hawks varsity tennis team qualified 11 out of 16 players for regionals at the final day of the district tournament today in Sulphur, Springs, Tx.
There was pressure on the hawks knowing they had to battle each other for limited regional spots. Only 1st and 2nd place get to advance to regionals in each division.

“I am so proud of this team and I love how hard they compete! However, I am sad that some of our players, especially seniors didn’t make it. It’s never easy knowing every round could be their last High School match. I am so thankful for all their dedication and hard work throughout these years. The amount of hrs they have invested is unimaginable,” Erik Pickett, Pleasant Grove Hawks head tennis coach said. “Their job is complete for Districts but that was just stage 1! Now we advance to stage 2 at Regionals, and stage 3 will be finishing the job at State!.”
