Pleasant Grove freshman lefty Hunter Rose pitched 5 scoreless innings, striking out 11 and allowing only 2 hits and Pleasant Grove downed Paris 7-1 at The Hill in Paris Friday.
The Hawks had 5 hits. However, they drew 9 walks, got on base with 2 Paris errors and 3 batters were hit by pitches.
Hawks center fielder Brenton Clark was 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored. Jarret Halter was 1-for-4 with 2 RBI. JM scored 3 runs. Rose had an RBI and run scored. Buck Anderson had an RBI. Spencer Browning was 1-for-3 with an RBI and Ty Boozer was 1-for-2.
