Adi Koller homered and the Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks softball team downed Paris 12-2 in Paris Friday.

Abby Runion pitched a complete game for PG. Runion allowed only 7 hits, 2 runs and she struck out 2 while allowing no walks.

Mackenzie Williams was 2-for-4 for PG with an RBi.  Koller was 2-for-5 with her jimmy Jack and Runion was 3-for-4 with 2 RBI. Presley was 3-for-4 with 3 RBI and K. Ingram was 3-for-3 with an RBI. Hailey Allen was 2-for-four.

“We took a little longer to adjust to their pitcher then we would have liked but they (the Lady Hawks) stayed calm and on course and eventually broke it open,” Becca Collom, Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks head softball coach said.”

It was a windy night

“It’s the windiest conditions we’ve ever played in,” Lady Hawks head coach Becca Collom said. “It’s always good to play in different conditions because we never know what we will have to play in later.

Coach Collom said that Koller’s home run was an absolute shot into cross wind. It was Koller’s third round tripper of the year.

Collom said her pitcher Abby Runion did a great job in the wind.

“It (the wind) can be very disruptive to pitches,” Coach Collom said.

Overall, Coach Collom was proud of the way the Lady Hawks responded.

The Lady Hawks next game is Tuesday at North Lamar, first pitch at 6 p.m.
