The Arkansas High Razorbacks baseball team defeated the Sheridan Yellowjackets 13-3 at Arkansas High Razorbacks baseball field in Texarkana Friday afternoon.
Ty Waid was the winning pitcher for the Hogs. Waid allowed only 3 hits, while striking out 3 and walking none. Waid did not give up any earned runs. The game was called in the 5th inning because of the 10-run-rule.
Nate Wall led the Razorbacks at the plate. Wall was 3-for-4 with a double, RBI and run scored. Wall had the walk off RBI hit to win the game in the fifth.
Razorbacks head coach Trent Wilson said his team came ready to play
“Our kids showed up ready to play,”Arkansas High Razorbacks head coach Trent Wilson said. “I’m extremely proud of our kids and the energy and the energy and focus they brought to the field today.”
Coach Wilson said the team will enjoy the win and start preparing for their next district match up with Lake Hamilton Tuesday.
