
The Pleasant Grove Hawks baseball team was flawless in their 16-0 win at the Sulphur Springs Wildcats on Tuesday night.
Pleasant Grove starting pitcher Luke Flanagan (5-0) pitched 4 2/3’s innings allowing 3 hits, no runs, striking out 4 and walking two. Caleb McIntosh pitched the final 2/3’s innings allowing no runs.
The game was called after 5 innings due to the 10-run-rule.
The Hawks brought the metal and the leather
Pleasant Grove pounded the Wildcats pitchers with 15 hits and they did not commit any errors in the field.
Brenton Clark was 2-for-3 with 3 runs. Jarret Halter was 3-for-3 with 2 doubles and 4 runs. JM Long was 2-for-4 with a triple, 3 RBI and 2 runs. Cade Martin was 1-for-3 with a triple, 4 RBI and 3 runs. Hunter Rose had an RBI. Buck Anderson was 3-for-4 with an RBI and 1 run. Spencer Browning was 1-for-4 with 3 RBI and a run. Ty Boozer was 1-for-2 with a double and a run. Walker Wright was 1-for-1 with a run and Garret Harrison was 1-for-1 with a 2-RBI-double.
Hawks head coach Riley Fincher said his team was locked in and focused
“Luke (Flanagan) did an outstanding job and we played exceptional behind him and I thought offensively we swung the bats real well,” Riley Fincher, Pleasant Grove Hawks head baseball coach said. “Our team stayed locked in a focused the entire game.”

The Hawks (21,5-1 12-0) will host North Lamar Friday night at 7 p.m. at Hawks Field. The game will broadcast live on 94.1 FM ESPN-Texarkana. The Hawks will clinch the district championship with a win Friday.
