
The Texas High Tigers 10-run ruled the #5 Whitehouse Wildcats 14-4 Tuesday at Tiger Field in Texarkana.
Texas High starter Worth McMillen was the winning pitcher for the Tigers. McMillen pitched 3 and 1/3’s innings allowing 3 runs (2 earned), 6 hits, striking out 2 and walking four.
Hoss Cartwright closed it out
Allen “Hoss” Cartwright pitched the final 1 and 2/3’s innings allowing 1 run (unearned) , 1 hit, striking out 4 and walking none.
Texas high batters shelled Whitehouse pitchers with 12 hits.
Brenden Allred was 2-for-3 with 1 RBI and 3 runs. Jacob Yowell was 3-for-4 with 4 RBI and 1 run. Cody Reese was 2-for-4 with an RBI and 2 runs. Knox Pilgreen was 1-for-3 with a double, 1 RBi and 2 runs. Tanner Ross was 2-for-4 with a triple, 3 RBI and 2 runs. Dalton Raley was 1-for-2 with an RBI and 1 run. Kameron Wrightner was 1-for-4 with an RBI and 2 runs.
Tiger head coach Johnny McClure said his Tigers battled
“We came out and battled against a great team,” Texas High head baseball coach Johnny McClure said. “We swung the bats extremely well, getting several timely hits.

Texas high (13-9, 6-5) will play at the Mount Pleasant Tigers Friday.
