Hawks head coach Riley Fincher is proud of the Hawks
“I’m extremely proud of our team. I’m proud of the work and and the commitment they put into this program. I’m proud of everything they do for this school and this community. Every time the season ends it’s not fun but the sun will come up tomorrow,” Riley Fincher the head coach of the Pleasant Grove Hawks baseball team said. “These men are great young men and I’m extremely proud of them.”
Thursday was the last game for the seniors to put on the Hawks uniform. They’ll all be remembered. JM Long will be playing for Texas Tech and he was one of the seniors who played his last Hawks game; he graduates Friday. JM was on the state championship Hawks team in 2021 and is an all time Hawk great and he will be missed.
“He’s (JM Long) a special player,” Hawks coach Riley Fincher said. “He’s one of the most advanced hitters that’s ever come to this program. He’s a gym rat. He loves the game of baseball. He’s going to be tremendously successful at the next level. We are going to miss him.”
