The Liberty-Eylau Leopards swept the Aubrey Chaparrals 2-games to none in the regional semifinals. They advanced to the regional final where they’ll play the Celina Bobcats.
The series was played at Mike Carter Field in Tyler, Tx. The Leopards won game 1 on Thursday 5-2. The Leopards won game 2 Saturday 6-2.
W.T. Jones was the winning pitcher for the Leopards in game one. Jones pitched a complete 7 innings allowing 2 runs, on 6 hits, striking out 10 and walking none.
Collin Evans led Liberty-Eylau batters in game 1 going 2-for-3 with a double. Britain Pipes was 1-for-3 with a triple and RBI. Triston Haugh and Dylan Nabors knocked in runs.
Cal Jones was the winning pitcher in game two. Jones pitched 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, with no strikeouts and 3 walks.

Leopard head coach Zach Fowler and his team are in the regional final again
“This is our second trip to the regional finals in the last 3 years,” Zach Fowler, Liberty-Eylau Leopards head baseball coach said.
Coach Fowler said the game 2 win was great for the Leopards program
“It was a great game and a great win for our program. We are excited to get an opportunity to play for a trip to the state tournament. Now we will give our best effort at preparing for Celina,” Coach Fowler said
Liberty Eylau will play the Celina Bobcats in a 1-game winner take all regional semifinal game Friday June 2nd at 7 p.m. at North Lamar Field in Paris, Texas.
