
The Texarkana Arkansas School District (TASD) has appointed Terry Taylor as the new Assistant Superintendent of Support Services, according to a press release issued today.
The TASD Board of Directors made the announcement, expressing their confidence in Taylor’s abilities and his extensive experience within the district.
Dr. Becky Kesler, the Superintendent of TASD, expressed her delight in the appointment, stating, “We are pleased to have Mr. Taylor become an integral part of our leadership team. His experience within the Texarkana Arkansas School District has given him a comprehensive understanding of the district’s needs and priorities.”
Terry Taylor brings an impressive 37 years of experience in the field of education to his new role. Remarkably, 24 of those years were dedicated to serving the Texarkana Arkansas School District, where he held various positions such as teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal and most recently, director of security and safety management.
Taylor’s known for more than his work in the classroom.
In addition to his contributions to education, Taylor has made a significant impact beyond the classroom. He has served as the Pastor of Church of the Living God for 25 years, demonstrating his commitment to the community. Taylor is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and served on the Board of Trustees of Texarkana College from 2007 to 2017.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new position, Taylor shared, “Over the past several years, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside a team of dedicated professionals, students, families, and community. I will continue to focus my efforts on ensuring the mission and vision of our district.”
