The Pleasant Grove Hawks scored 4 touchdowns including 2 in the timed portion of the scrimmage at Kilgore Thursday. The Hawks looked great. It was their last tuneup for the 2023 season which will be Friday August 25th in Royce City versus Brock.

Jaylen Bordley popped the scrimmage off early with a 65-yard touchdown catch for the Hawks on a bubble screen thrown by Ahkhari Johnson in PG’s first series. Hawks wide out Roland Ritchie caught a touchdown pass from backup QB Walker Wright. Johnson scored on an yard touchdown run.
KJ Readeer had an 80-yd scoop and score
The big play was and 80-yard scoop and score by KJ Readeer. The fumble came on a big hit by Lance Jackson.
Hawks wide receiver Jackson Gibson had a big game with several catches. The Hawks put a lot of pressure on Kilgore’s quarterback all night.
“It was a good one,” Josh Gibson, Pleasant Grove Hawks head football coach said.”Cool thing is we were down 2 lineman including a center and the backups steeped up and we are showing some depth and that’s a good thing.
