5 Hogs to play in college football all-star games

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Five Arkansas Razorbacks football seniors will play in three different college all-star games over the next two weekends.

Offensive lineman Brian Wallace and defensive lineman Armon Watts will play for the West in the East-West Shrine Game at Tropicana Field, home of the Tampa Bay Rays, in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Jan 19. The game will be broadcast at 2:00 p.m. Central Time on NFL Network.

Wallace had three games over an 80.0 grade in 2018 according to Pro Football Focus. Watts earned the Dan Hampton & Paul Eells Awards from the Little Rock Touchdown Club on Jan. 10, earning 7.0 sacks, the 10th-most in a single season by a Hogs defender and most by an Arkansas defender since 2015.

Another trench duo in offensive lineman Hjalte Froholdt and defensive end Randy Ramsey will play for the National squad in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., with a 4:00 p.m. Central kickoff. The game will be televised on FS1.

Froholdt was twice named to the Pro Football Focus SEC Team of the Week and earned AP All-SEC second team honors last year. Ramsey started in 10 games, racking up 32 tackles, 7.0 for loss with 3.0 sacks.

The fifth Hogs player to participate in a college all-star game will be linebacker Dre Greenlaw, who will play for the South team in the Reese’s Senior Bowl on Jan. 26 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala. Kickoff is slated for 1:30 p.m. Central and will be broadcast on NFL Network. Greenlaw started in 38 games for the Razorbacks and recorded 80 tackles, 6.5 for loss, two sacks, intercepted two passes, forced a fumble, and recovered another.
