Benton outscores Arkansas High 72-48.
The conference opener for both teams ended up as a lopsided victory for the home standing Panthers on Friday night. A barrage of 3 pointers early gave Benton a lead they would never give up. The Panthers had 4 three pointers early in the contest and rushed out to a 10-0 lead. The Razorbacks did try to claw back into the game several times. Each time the Panthers would go on a roll to increase their lead. Sawyer Oulch lead the scoring with 3 early three pointers and a total of 23 points for the home team.
The Razorbacks were lead by Micha Yarber with 15 points, and Johnathan Blair and Jaylon Randle with 13 points each.
Earlier the Lady Razorbacks lost in a heartbreaker, 34-32 when what would have been a tying shot at the buzzer went in but came out. The girls team was led by Jayla Easter who poured in 12 points.
The first game of the night saw the Arkansas High JV Boys and Benton finishing in a tie after going into overtime.
Next up for the Razorbacks is a home game against Hot Springs next Tuesday January 8th.
