North stars beat Nacogdoches for title

Texarkana won the title by defeating Nacogdoches, 8-4. Earlier Tuesday, the North beat Hallsville, 12-5.

“It was a great team effort; it was fantastic,” said North coach Tim Holt. “Everybody came together and played hard at every single position. You couldn’t ask for better team play.

“Caden Criner and Kaiden Barnes pitched their hearts out. Barnes was bringing the heat there at the end to save the win. Jashun Weatherall was smacking the ball, and Jaxsen Ludlow crushed it. Caden Criner was killing it. I mean we were hitting top to bottom in our lineup.”
